Freezer Jam

My sister, Gracie, and I made 3 gallons of strawberry freezer jam yesterday. So, this is what we had for breakfast this morning.

You should try this while strawberries are in season (not for much longer). The recipes are in the Certo box...but for one gallon of strawberries you will need 2 boxes of Certo, 16 cups of sugar, and some lemon juice. Oh, and look who decided to climb up on the counter to help me after the biscuits were in the oven! :)

 I am so thankful that God gave me a man who is willing to stick with me through the ups and downs of life, to be faithful, no matter what may come. I have to admit, the life we have lived up till now is not exactly what we had planned, but the Lord knows what He is doing and has led us to live this life...to the fullest. Proverbs 16:9 says. "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." The word "determines" is from a Hebrew word meaning: "to be established, be steadfast, be firm, set in place, make secure." I am glad that the Lord is able to establish us where we need to be, even though we may not have known we needed to be there. What would we have missed out on if we had followed our "plans"? My children are a huge blessing, and I am so glad that the Lord has called us to raise them. I am also grateful that the Lord gave me Kevin to stand beside as we seek to bring our boys up in the way of the Lord. Though it may be rough at times, we know that The Rock on which we stand is more than able to lead us in the paths we need to go. He has shown Himself faithful for generations, why would He stop now?
